2008 will be the tenth year for the All Mitsubishi Cookout and Car Show. The All Mitsu Cookout is the LARGEST Mitsubishi event in the Upper Midwest!! We have some big news this year. The All Mitsu Cookout will be turning into the All Mitsu Weekend! On top of having one of the biggest Mitsu shows on Sunday, we'll be adding a Dyno Challenge on Saturday and a cruise and dinner on Saturday night.

Who: owners of 3000GT, Stealth, Eclipse, Talon, Laser, Galant, EVO, Lancer, Starion, Conquest, Mirage, Diamante, Colt, Cordia, Avenger, Sebring coupe, Stratus coupe, and all other Mitsubishi made vehicles.

What: A full weekend of Mitsubishi nirvana. Saturday will be a Dyno Challenge at DB Performance. Saturday night will be a cruise and dinner. Then Sunday will be the All Mitsu Cookout. At the cookout, we will supply the food, and give away some kick butt prizes. Trophies will be given out for 1st through 3rd places in many different categories. Also I'll be doing the Mitsubishi trivia contest.

Where: Dyno Challenge will be at DB Performance. Map of DB Performance. The Cookout will be at the Rogers Middle School, in Rogers, MN. The school offers a large paved lot for parking all of the cars. Map for Rogers Middle School

When: August 23rd and 24th, 2008. Dyno Challenge from 10am to 5pm on Saturday. Cookout will be Sunday, from 11am to 4pm. Detailed schedule here.

Why: There are a lot of Mitsubishi enthusiasts in the area. This gives us a chance to get together for a once a year event like none other anywhere.

Pricing for this year's Cookout will be a little higher. $5 gets you and your car into the show and to eat. Each guest will need to pay $5 to eat. With the rising costs of food, I had no choice but to bump up the price a little. T-shirts will be $13 if you pre-pay for them, and $15 if you pay at the show. T-shirts will be white and sizes include M, L, XL. If you want XXL, you'll need to pre-pay $15 or $20 at the show. You can paypal me your entry fee and/or your t-shirt payments to cgendron@mail.com (no credit card payments please) Include your full name and what size t-shirt you want. You can also mail me a check for the Cookout and/or t-shirts. Send checks to:

There will be a first, second, and third place trophies given out for each category except for the Cleanest Car Overall. Only a first place for that one. Here are the Categories.

Looking for a hotel room?

The official hotel for this year is the Hampton Inn, in Rogers. There phone number is 763-425-0044. We have a group rate of $74 a night for single king bed rooms. We have a block of ten rooms set aside for us. When you call, mention "the car show in Rogers", to get the discounted rate. There regular rate is $109. This is very nice hotel and its brand new. They do have some suites with king beds and a pull out coach. They are available for a discount rate of $119, but they are not part of our block of rooms. So if you need more room, you can get these too. If you have any issue getting the discounted rate, try and talk to Lindsay. She is the group sales manager. Book your room early. We can only hold these rooms until August 8th.

Update 7/7/08:
Just announced is the addition of a Dyno Challenge on Saturday the 23rd at DB Performance in Rogers. DB is less than a mile away from the Cookout site. The All Mitsu Cookout is now the All Mitsu Weekend!! In addition to the Dyno Challenge, we'll have a swap meet at DB at the same time. Plus, that Saturday evening, we'll have a cruise leaving from DB at 5pm. We'll hit some country roads and find a place for dinner.

The pricing for the Dyno Challenge will be $60 for three pulls. To make things easier, you can pay cash at the event. But if you want to dyno, send me an e-mail at cgendron@mail.com and I'll add you to the list. In your e-mail, give me your full name, car year, make, and model. Thanks.

I've also put in the order for the t-shirts. I'm only ordering 90 shirts. Once they are gone, thats it. So pre-pay for your cookout fee and shirt if you want to guarantee that you get one.

Update 8/19/08:
The All Mitsu Weekend is almost here. We will have food available at the Dyno Challenge on Saturday. Pop and water will be 50 cents. Also we will have Dominos pizza for $2 a slice.
